Privacy policy

This policy explains how FDI Labs, a unit of Indian Office Automation and Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (“FDI Labs”, “we”), handles personal data collected through www.fdilabs.com. We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
1. What this website is, and is not
This website introduces our services and receives enquiries, job and internship applications, college MoU enquiries and store quotation requests. Please do not send case material, seized data, evidence or confidential investigation details through any form on this site. Government agencies engage us through formal channels.
2. Data we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number, city.
- Professional and academic details: employer or institution, designation, course, experience, notice period, links you provide.
- Files you attach, such as a resume or an institutional brochure.
- Anything you write in message or notes fields.
Information collected automatically
Our servers and hosting provider may log technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and reliability. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and this site does not set analytics cookies.
3. Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry or quotation request.
- To assess job and internship applications and contact applicants.
- To discuss and manage academic partnerships.
- To keep the website secure and prevent misuse.
- To meet legal obligations.
We rely on your consent, given when you tick the consent box and submit a form, and on legitimate uses permitted by law. We do not sell personal data or use it for marketing by third parties.
4. Who receives it
Form submissions are delivered to our mailbox through Web3Forms, a form processing service, which handles the data to pass it to us. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address. Our website host also processes technical logs. We may share data with our group entities, advisers or authorities where the law requires. We do not otherwise disclose your data.
5. How long we keep it
- Job and internship applications: up to 12 months after the application, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- Enquiries, quotations and MoU discussions: for the life of the relationship and a reasonable period afterwards, or as the law requires.
6. Security
This site is served over HTTPS and we limit access to submitted data to staff who need it. No online method is completely secure, so please share only what is needed.
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, 2023 you may ask us to give you a summary of your data we hold, correct or complete it, erase it, and nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. You may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing done before then. To exercise a right, email info@fdilabs.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We aim to reply within 30 days.
8. Children
This website is not meant for people under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Student internship applicants must be 18 or older.
9. Grievances
If you have a concern about how we handle your data, write to our grievance contact at info@fdilabs.com. If we do not resolve it, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational for that purpose.
10. Links to other sites
Our pages may link to third-party websites, for example vendor sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
11. Changes
We may update this policy and will change the effective date above when we do. The current version is always on this page.
12. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of India. Courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction, subject to applicable law.
